Landon's Birthday

Today my sweet little Landon bear turned 6. We celebrated in high style with a transformer party featuring Opitmus Prime his most favorite Autobot. We had a great time with close friends and family. It's hard to believe Landon is already six...Is there a slow down button located somewhere on my kids and I just haven't found it yet. I can't how fast time goes. Post below are a few pictures from the day. If you are eagled-eye and notice that Lane is missing from the pictures it is because he was sick and quarantined to my mom's house so not to infect Landon's party guest. He was fine with it especially when I sent pizza and cake down there.

PS I did make the cake. I think it turned out pretty realistic.

A New Year

I know its been too long since I have posted anything on the blog but the holidays were busy. It's a lame excuse and I loath using it but they were busy. It was also our first holidays without daddy and well I guess blogging was the furthest thing from my mind. We had a good Thanksgiving, celebrating with my brother and his family in Port Neches. Christmas was a time for family and remembering. While there were hard moments; I couldn't help but reflect on something I read. It was a poem of loss and Christmas and the last few lines describe how (Daddy) was celebrating Christmas with his Jesus this year.Wow, I never thought about it before but what Christmas celebration could be more wonderous. That image helped make my holidays more joyful. I have learned through this season that joy...true joy can be present even when you are sad. IF you have the Source of all joy inside your heart then even in hard times there is joy and peace. Of course, it's hard to not get caught up in the squeals of delight when your babies are so excited at what Santa has brought. The kids were throughly spoiled this year and our home is busting at the seams with Barbies, Legos, and Wii games. I received two very special surprises this year. My mom had my dad's diamonds reset into a ring for me so I get to carry a piece of daddy with me everywhere. The presentation was beautiful because I got dad's diamonds and Jean got momma's 25th anniversary diamond ring. It was the most special time. My wonderful husband built me a beautiful entertainment center for our living room. It was a good Christmas and God was as always faithfully holding us. Below are a collage of pictures from the entire Christmas season.
